HSTAS 530 A: Field Course in Southeast Asian History and Culture

Examines the field of Southeast Asian studies through a theoretical and historiographical introduction to modern Southeast Asian history and culture. Surveys nationalism, colonialism, modernity, and cultural memory through recent scholarship on Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Laos, and Vietnam.
