Examines how spatial data is a valuable commodity for everyday needs such as digital mapping applications. Explores historical maps in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Critically analyzes the uses and creation of maps as tools of power with intended outcomes, concealing as much information as they reveal, and the uses and abuses of maps. Includes making maps.
