Biography
B.A., History, East China Normal University, Shanghai, 2024
I am a PhD student in the History Department at the University of Washington, where my research explores the intersections of law, society, and identity in twentieth-century China. My work focuses on crime during the Mao era, a period characterized by the absence of clear legal codes. I am fascinated by how people navigated daily life and how the state exercised discipline during this time. My current project is titled Legacy in Conflict: Legal Transformations and the Age of Sexual Consent in Modern China.
Outside of my historical research, I am a passionate photographer of Seattle’s vibrant neighborhoods and scenic landscapes.
