HLS 2018. Speaking Truth to Power: Protest and Dissent in Modern History.

Last night the Department of History and the UW Alumni Association kicked off the 2018 History Lecture Series, Speaking Truth to Power: Protest and Dissent, to a packed audience in Kane Hall.

First to speak was Professor Anand Yang who gave a rousing lecture on Ghandi and the influence of his non-violent ideals of protest - see the full video here.

Next week Professor Laurie Marhoefer will be taking to the stage to discuss popular protest in Nazi Germany. It's sure to be another great night!

Limited tickets are still available through the Alumni Association's website.

Check the department's Twitter page each week for a live stream and back here for videos of each lecture following the event.
