Department of History faculty members are frequently contacted by local and national media to provide commentary and insight on current events. During a moment of rapid and oftentimes unpredictable change, analyzing the past can provide much needed context and clarity. Historicans cannot predict the future, but they can serve a pivotal role in understanding how we arrived at the present moment.

Professor James Gregory commented for public radio station KUOW on the history of hate crimes in the Pacific Northwest.

Professor Margaret O'Mara was recently interviewed by C-SPAN for her insights on their presidential rankings project.
