Biography
Jere L. Bacharach
As a faculty member at a Research One institution I believe that I had the following responsibilities: to be the best teacher I could serving both graduate and undergraduates; to contribute, when appropriate, to the administration of units which reflected my academic interests at the department, college and university level; to participate in professional organizations including administrative roles; to engage in research including seeking outside funding; and to publish. Since I joined the UW faculty in 1967, my highest priority among these four categories changed over time but all were part of my academic life. In the case of publishing, I made one of my priorities engaging scholars from Egypt by undertaking co-authored articles. PDF's of all my peer reviewed articles can be found under my name at academia.edu.
