Biography

M.A., History, National Taiwan University, 2016
B.A., History, National Taiwan University, 2012

I study cartography, information networking, and industrial development in the late 19th century of the Qing empire, China.  My current research concentrates on the intelligence-gathering activities and how the information on geography, ethnicity, and culture was reconstructed and capsuled into maps during the Sino-French war and negotiations on Chinese-Vietnamese borderland.

Before coming to UW, I received MA degree in history at National Taiwan University and served as a research assistant at Sinica Academia, Taipei.
