Dr. Dale Soden, who earned his PhD from the University of Washington in 1980 and is currently Professor of History at Whitworth University in Spokane, has been awarded the Robert Gray Medal--the highest honor bestowed by the Washington State Historical Society in recognition of distinguished and long-term contributions to Pacific Northwest history.
