Dr. Michael Aguirre receives the UW Graduate School's Distinguished Dissertation in the Humanities & Fine Arts Award for his dissertation, "The Wages of Borders: Political Economy, Labor Activism, and Racial Formation in the Imperial-Mexicali Borderlands, 1937-1979.” This award recognizes outstanding and exceptional research and writing produced by UW master’s students in any discipline.
